Ghanaian musician Stonebwoy says he has not endorsed the manifesto promise of the opposition NDC to legalise the commercial use of motorcycles popularly called ‘okada’ in Ghana.
Reacting to a viral video of himself riding an okada, Stonebwoy said the recording was made three years ago and should not be misconstrued as an endorsement of the campaign promise to legalise okada.
The multiple award-winning musician posted: “My attention has been drawn to a 3-Year-old video of me riding on an OKADA. Which is being Publicized As An Endorsement For A Political Party.. I disassociate Myself From this.. Please I Beg this is NOT in ANY WAY an ENDORSEMENT For ANY POLITICAL PARTY #GodBlessGhana”
In the video (below) which is circulating on social media, Stonebwoy is seen at the back of an okada rider, saying that okada is a good way to avoid traffic jams.
“Sometimes you need to join the okada.. too much traffic my guy, okada is good for the people… I had to join the okada cos there is too much traffic”.
